inspirational broadwayTony Award nominees Norm Lewis (Phantom of the Opera, Porgy and Bess) and Chad Kimball (Memphis, Into the Woods) will join BIV founder/Tony Award nominee Michael McElroy (Big River), The Broadway Inspirational Voices and a star studded lineup including Tony Award-winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots, Shuffle Along), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton, Rent, The Color Purple), Two-time Tony nominee Joshua Henry (The Scottsboro BoysViolet, Porgy and Bess), Marcus Paul James (MotownRent, The Wiz – LIVE”), Adam Pascal (Rent), Eden Espinosa (Wicked), Telly Leung (Allegiance) and Jarrod Spector (Beautiful), to celebrate the soul of Broadway and BIV’s mission to give “hope, inspire, and change” lives with the universal power of inspirational music. The INSPIRATIONAL BROADWAY  concert- an evening of Broadway, R&B, Gospel, and Pop classics featuring Broadway’s brightest lights and an ensemble of uplifting voices, is at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on February 15, 2016 at 7:30 PM (Doors at 6:00 PM).

The music will be performed with the signature soul and innovative musical arrangements of the Grammy-nominated Broadway Inspirational Voices.  Music direction is by JAMES SAMPLINER (Prince of Broadway, Honeymoon in Vegas).This event will help benefit the BIV Outreach Program. Tickets begin at $30, and can be purchased here.

In addition to numerous concerts, the Grammy nominated choir has performed with award-winning artists such as Mariah Carey, the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Sting, Elton John,Vanessa Williams, Heather Headley and Billy Porter. BIV has been featured on “Late Night withDavid Letterman,” “The Rosie O’Donnell Christmas Special,” multiple Tony Awards telecasts, “Smash” and “America’s Got Talent.”
