On Monday, July 28, 2014, “The Women Warrior” author Maxine Hong Kingston, architect Billie Tsien, dancer-choreographer Bill T. Jones, singer Linda Ronstadt, Cabaret composer John Kander, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, Director and CEO of DreamWorks will be among 12 recipients presented with the 2013 National Medal of Arts by President Obama in the East Room of the White House.
