In the Season 7, episode 7 of Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie,” entitled, “Are You with Me, Dr. Wu?” which airs on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at 9:00PM, Garth Kravits plays the role of Reed, a Statue of Liberty street performer that gets injured in a fight.

He is cared for by nurses Zoey Barkow (Merritt Weaver) and Thor Lundgren (Stephen Wallem), and by Doctor Carrie Roman (Betty Gilpen). Click here to read Kravits’ blog post about his day on the set.

In this episode, Nurse Jackie (Edie Falco) becomes determined to stop dealing and makes one last purge of her stash with Eddie, but the deal goes awry just as their relationship reaches a new level. Meanwhile, Zoey blames herself for a patient’s death and Carrie steps forward as an unlikely ally; and Dr. Prince and Akalitus bond over lunch when she reveals something from her past. This episode of “Nurse Jackie” was  written by Tom Straw and directed by Brendan Walsh.

Most recently, Kravits performed at a benefit for RAINN, sharing the stage with Tony winners Laura Benanti and Lena Hall.  The evening was music directed by Brian Nash (Beaches, Silence! the Musical) and included performances by Kyle Dean Massey, Rachel Bay Jones, Lauren Molina, Erin Davie, Michael Buchanan, Molly Pope, Natalie Joy Johnson, Stephen Bienskie, Colleen Harris, and composer-lyricist Scott Alan.

In June, Kravits will be playing the lead role of Mitch in the industry reading of the new musical Grounded for Life at the York theater. The book is written by Pat Hazell (one of the original writers for Seinfeld) and the music is by Lawrence Goldberg (Associate Conductor for the Broadway productions: On the 20th Century, The Drowsy Chaperone, Thoroughly Modern Mille and many others).
