Celebrate Asian Arts, Cuisine, and Community at the 36th Annual Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Festival on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 11:00-4:00 in Chinatown (Mott St from Canal St to Chatham Square). Organized by the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans since 1979, this annual festival is the longest running and largest event celebrating Pan Asian heritage on the east coast. The festival is free and open to the public thanks to generous contributions from community organizations such as Chinatown Partnership Local Development Corp. (CPLDC), Asian American / Asian Research Institute – City University of New York (AAARI-CUNY), APEX, ASA College, Asian American Film Lab, Asian American Journalists Assn. (AAJA), Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), Asian Cinevision, Asian Women’s Giving Circle, Bank of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters – Asian Mentoring Group, Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, Chinamericahitradio, Chinese American Planning Council, Chinese Progressive Assn.
