    Kick off the Year of the Sheep with a free lion dance and kung-fu demonstration in front of China Institute at 125 East 65th Street. Following the lion dance, join their workshops and activities for families inside China Institute, which include dumpling making, lantern making and gallery tours of our newest exhibition.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art will hold its annual Lunar New Year festival on Saturday, February 28, from noon to 5 p.m. Featuring more than 20 fun programs for visitors of all ages. Alan Muraoka of “Sesame Street” will host a Sesame sing along show at noon, and will be joined by “Sesame Street” muppeteers Pam Arciero and Jennifer Barnhart.

    1:00pm – 4:00pm 725 Park Avenue (at East 70th Street), New York, NYAsia Society rings in the Year of the Goat with performances and traditional craft activities inspired by Lunar New Year traditions across Asia. Activities will include a Lion Dance and kung fu demonstration, musical performances, and more.
