U.S. Journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee Arrested by North Korea to Face Trial in June
North Korea has announced that two U.S. journalists who were arrested on March 17 after allegedly entering the country illegally will face trial on June 4.
According to reports Euna Lee, a Korean-American, and Laura Ling, a Chinese-American, had been working on a story detailing the flight of refugees from North Korea when they were detained. There have been some who have suggested the two were detained while they were in China, a claim denied by the North.
North Korea has not released official word as to the charges the two women now face.
