I’m currently rehearsing with Robert Paul Abelson, Michael Citriniti, Sandra Kazan, Arik Luck and Edward Pomerantz for a staged reading of A TUNE BEYOND US or WHAT A REVOLTIN’ DEVELOPMENT THIS IS!, a ghost and gangster show written and directed by Edward Pomerantz, presented by Woodie King, Jr.’s New Federal Theatre as part of the Gurfein Foundation/Ntozake Shange Play Reading Series. The one performance only reading is at Theatre at St. Clement’s, 423 W. 46th St. (btwn 9th & 10th Aves) in New York, at 4pm on Sunday, February 15, 2009.
Come join Cody Jarrett, Midnight Flower, Mose The Nose, Shonda The Mother Killer, Ghost Eye, and Fat Jack The Nail in their family fight-to-the-death for the throne of their gangster kingdom. The day of reckoning is set in an old New Jersey synagogue, once a movie palace, now the front for an Amerasian/ Jewish gang-run gambling casino haunted by the ghosts of James Cagney, Barbara Stanwyck, and Jimmy Durante.
Date: Sunday, February 15, 2009
Place: Theatre at St. Clement’s
