Gouverneur Healthcare Services in New York Chinatown ushered in the Year of the Ox with an afternoon of Chinese New Year festivities for the seniors in their nursing facility. RED, my Chinese New Year photo exhibit is on view in the lobby of Gouverneur, located at 227 Madison St. in New York through February 20, as part of the celebration.
RED is part of a series of art exhibitions in 2009 celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation Art Collection. These events showcase established and emerging artists and offer museums, galleries, educators and the general public the opportunity to become familiar with the HHC Art Collection. This is part of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporations philosophy of supporting the community it serves.
