The world premiere of David Henry Hwang’s Kung Fu, directed by Leigh Silverman and featuring choreography by Sonya Tayeh, which opened on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues) on February 24, 2014, has been extended again through April 6, 2014.

Last Wednesday, it was grand to reconnect with the effervescent Mei Chan, who presided over Asia Roma’s annual Lunar New Year Party ushering in the Year of the Horse 4712. The restaurant/bar, located in New York Chinatown at 40 Mulberry St., features a menu of Italian-Asian cuisine and has a Karaoke lounge.
On Chinese New Year, I met up with playwright David Henry Hwang at The Pershing Square Signature Center in New York, where the tech rehearsal of the world premiere of his new play, Kung Fu was in full swing on The Irene Diamond Stage.
