The Metropolitan Museum of Art will have extended hours for the final days of its extraordinarily popular Costume Institute exhibition, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. From August 4 to August 7, the exhibition will remain open to the public for extended hours until 9 p.m. The exhibition will also open an hour early for Museum Members, beginning on July 22, every day except Mondays.
On Sunday afternoon, I stood in line for over an hour for the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition in The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but it was well worth it. The breathtaking exhibition, on view in the Metropolitan Museum’s second-floor Cantor Galleries, features approximately 100 ensembles and 70 accessories from the late Mr. McQueen’s prolific 19-year career, and is a celebration of the fashion designer’s extraordinary contributions to fashion.
