Gardner played an integral role in the team’s 2009 championship, and etched his name into NY Yankee history as he became the first player to hit an inside-the-park home run at the new Yankee stadium. Brett Gardner’s current batting average is .317, and he is on pace to steal over 50 bases, which if accomplished would be the first time a Yankee player has done it in over 20 years.
Selections from the collection of Steiner Sports Memorabilia were on display and for sale in the men’s department for the evening.
