Lia Chang: NY Yankee Fans Show Love for Brett Gardner at Lord & Taylor Fifth Ave

NY Yankee fans of all shapes and sizes came out to the Lord & Taylor Fifth Ave Flagship Store on Monday, June 14th, to share the love for Brett Gardner, the American Major League Baseball centerfielder for the New York Yankees.

The line to meet 2009 World Series Champ stretched the length of the 10th floor men’s department, and with a $75 purchase, you received a signed official baseball.

Gardner played an integral role in the team’s 2009 championship, and etched his name into NY Yankee history as he became the first player to hit an inside-the-park home run at the new Yankee stadium. Brett Gardner’s current batting average is .317, and he is on pace to steal over 50 bases, which if accomplished would be the first time a Yankee player has done it in over 20 years.
